I haven't made a portrait in two years so this is an experiment for me as also for my watchers.
He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed. - Albert Einstein
Happiness hit her like a train on a track Coming towards her stuck still no turning back She hid around corners and she hid under beds She killed it with kisses and from it she fled With every bubble she sank with her drink And washed it away down the kitchen sink Florence And The Machine - Dog Days Are Over

Amazing shot! There is so much thoughtful view in this. The subtle smile and intent look give it a very mysterious air. The detail caught in the snow in the hair and the eyebrows really adds an authentic feel to it. And the cup resting against the lower lip (not drinking but just holding it to smell and feel the warmth) make this gorgeous. Perfect focus on the eyes - by far the most important part. Lighting is great - strong and very well angled for best shadowing. The close shot (just the face and top of the cup) is very nice. If it was posed and staged, excellent vision. If it was just a natural look caught at the moment, then very good capture! Very warm shot.
