Note - After reading over my critique it sounds overly harsh, I would like to point out that I DO like this image, and have even taken similar ones myself at times, however as a piece of artwork, it does lack a certain je ne sais quoi.

Vision - "A fragile wreck on a storm of emotion." I can see what you are thinking of with this image, but as the needles and the drops are the prominent features, that it doesn't quite match your statement.

Originality - Not a very original subject, and interesting one, but there doesn't seem to be anything in this image that hasn't been done before.

Technique - The depth of field (DOF) is only just apparent in this image in a very few places, it would have been nicer if the DOF was a little further into the image to focus on the webs a little better.
Also, I was taught by another DA member that a photograph should be framed regardless of whether it is printed or on the internet to show the viewer that it is finished. It can be anything from a simple 1 pixel white border to a complicated three coloured border.

Impact - This is a lovely image, but I feel like it is a little oversaturated which makes it blend, not have a great impact.
